A Tatler-Featured Wedding Editorial by Love Stories Events

A Colourful Wedding Editorial at Hornington Manor, North Yorkshire
There are some venues that instantly inspire creativity the moment you walk through the doors, and Hornington Manor is undoubtedly one of them.
Nestled within the North Yorkshire countryside, Hornington Manor combines rustic character with contemporary elegance in a way very few venues can. The dramatic ceremony barn, soaring timber beams, statement chandeliers and beautiful brickwork provide the perfect backdrop for couples who want a wedding that feels romantic, stylish and completely unforgettable.
For this Tatler-featured editorial, Love Stories Events was entrusted with designing and styling the entire wedding look from ceremony through to reception. Working alongside the incredible teams at Tatler Weddings, Charlotte Mills and Hornington Manor, we created a vibrant, editorial wedding concept centred around our much-loved Annie Collection.
The result was a celebration of colour, texture, atmosphere and thoughtful design that felt luxurious, playful and completely unique.

Transforming the Ceremony Barn
The ceremony barn at Hornington Manor is one of the most impressive wedding spaces in Yorkshire.
The soaring timber beams draw your eyes upwards towards the elegant chandeliers suspended from the centre of the room, while the striking brick archway creates a focal point that feels almost cathedral-like in its scale and presence.
Rather than competing with these architectural features, we designed our styling to enhance them.
At the centre of the ceremony space sat our signature Annie Broken Floral Arches, overflowing with colourful wildflower-inspired blooms. Positioned within the existing brick archway, the floral installation framed the original brickwork beautifully whilst adding softness, movement and colour.
The contrast between the warm brick, natural timber and vibrant florals created a look that felt both modern and timeless.

Modern Layers with Urns, Plinths and Draped Fabric
To frame the altar area, we introduced a series of modern styling layers designed to create depth and visual interest.
Large white urns were positioned on contemporary plinths, each draped with luxurious white fabric cascading towards the floor. The soft folds of fabric added movement and texture, creating a fashion-inspired look that felt editorial rather than traditional.
The Annie floral centrepieces sat proudly within the urns, overflowing with soft pinks, powder blues, buttery yellows, corals, lilacs and fresh greenery.
The combination of structured plinths, flowing fabric and abundant florals created a beautifully balanced ceremony backdrop.

The Aisle Design
Every detail within the ceremony barn was carefully considered to ensure the styling felt cohesive from the moment guests entered.
The aisle was lined with our Annie flower meadows, creating bursts of colour that appeared to grow naturally from the floor.
Between the meadows sat elegant gold square lanterns housing white LED candles, adding warmth and a soft romantic glow throughout the space.
To complete the look, white chiffon bows were tied to the end chairs facing the aisle, adding softness whilst allowing the natural beauty of the wooden chairs and venue architecture to remain visible.
The result was a ceremony space that felt welcoming, romantic and completely immersive.

A Tatler-Featured Moment
One of our favourite images from the entire editorial was the breathtaking slow-dipped ceremony kiss beneath the Annie arches.
Captured perfectly within the ceremony barn, this image beautifully showcases how thoughtful wedding styling transforms a moment into something unforgettable.
We are incredibly proud that both the Annie Collection and this stunning ceremony image were featured within Tatler Weddings May 2026 Edition, both online and in print.
For us, this wasn’t simply about beautiful flowers.
It was about creating a setting worthy of the memories being made within it.

Charlotte Mills and the Perfect Something Blue
No editorial wedding would be complete without beautiful bridal details.
For this shoot, we had the pleasure of working alongside the incredible Charlotte Mills, whose bridal shoes have become iconic within the wedding industry.
The beautiful powder blue Octavia Blue heels brought a subtle touch of colour and tied effortlessly into the Annie palette.
The delicate detailing and signature “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue” sole perfectly reflected the romantic nature of the entire design.
They were the perfect finishing touch.

Moving Into The Main Barn
While the ceremony barn creates an incredible first impression, the main reception barn is equally impressive.
The scale of the space allows couples to create a truly immersive celebration whilst still maintaining warmth and intimacy.
One of our favourite features is the stunning mezzanine overlooking the bar area.
This architectural detail creates natural levels within the room, helping larger weddings feel welcoming and inviting rather than overwhelming.
The exposed timber, warm textures and soft lighting make the space feel cosy despite its generous proportions.

Designing the Top Table
For the reception design, we created a romantic focal point beneath Hornington Manor’s breathtaking waterfall wall of warm fairy lights.
Positioned directly in front of this glowing backdrop sat the sweetheart table, framed by our Annie Broken Floral Arches.
The styling was layered with:
· Matching Annie floral garland
· Elegant LED table lamps
· Danish taper candles
· Tealights
· Soft ivory layered linens
· Warm candlelight throughout
The combination of textures, lighting and colour created a setting that felt intimate, luxurious and incredibly romantic.
As daylight faded and the fairy lights began to glow, the entire backdrop came alive.

Cohesive Guest Table Styling
Creating beautiful guest tables is about far more than centrepieces alone.
Every element should work together to tell the same visual story.
Each guest table featured the vibrant beauty of our Annie Collection florals, combining wildflower-inspired stems in a joyful mix of colours.
To complement the florals, we incorporated:
· Danish pastel taper candles
· Gold candle holders
· Tealights
· Gold beaded glass charger plates
· Crisp ivory linens
· Elegant glassware
The soft pastel candle colours echoed the floral palette whilst maintaining a refined and luxurious finish.
Every table felt connected to the overall design, ensuring guests experienced the same level of detail throughout the entire venue.
